Assignment 4 - Application of Design Elements & Principles of Organisation

Envelope

The first class of 2 Dimensional commences and the wonderful Ms. Fu is our lecturer again! This semester I don't want to disappoint ms. Fu any longer and definitely myself as well.

So after the lecture ended and getting a little more knowledge of 2 Dimensional objects, comes our first class exercise. Without procrastinating any further I got right into it.

Requirements 

Create an envelope, dimensions of 18cm * 12cm

Design it

Submit it in a a3 paper folded in half

Procedures

The first thought that came into my mind was the fact that envelope has the flap to open up so I should use that as an advantage to come out with a sort of functional design.

what I had in mind was this empty barrel, but with the cover on it'll be filled with an overflowed of 

slime.

by this time I was already feeling the pressure of time. I do not have sufficient at this rate

So i rushed. Rushed all without looking at any reference hoping for the best

adding colour to the smile trying to hopefully make it look alike

it doesnt really look like of barrel to me and I was desperate so I just decided to add the word 'barrel'

The end product right before handing it in.

Conclusion

In the end I was still in a major lack of time resulting in this product I am still ashamed of. Ms. Fu said it again concept good but execution not even worth commenting..

So it's either I take shorter breaks or I don't use the toilet at all, OR I somehow work faster without compromising quality. I will still set my mind ahead and do my best! Cheers to first activity and I hope by the end or mid sem I can still maintain this enthusiasm.
